Advisory Committee

Here is a draft Proposed Role, Responsibilities and Membership for the Advisory Committee.

Stakeholder Groups are being established to review information and provide comments as the NCCP/HCP is developed, and they will meet throughout the process. They include: Agriculture; Natural Resources/Environmental; Land Development/Business; and Municipal Entities - Public Utilities and Services. In addition, an Advisory Committee composed of Stakeholder Group representatives and others will be formed. To initiate this process, each Stakeholder Group will nominate co-chairs from among its members to serve as members of the Advisory Committee. It is anticipated that the Stakeholder Groups will nominate the co-chairs during the second set of Stakeholder Group meetings in June 2002. The Advisory Committee's role is to review technical reports produced by the consultant team and the Science Advisors, draft the Plan, and provide advice and recommendations directly to the Board of Supervisors.

Those citizens who agree to participate in the Advisory Committee will be required to attend. If a member of the Committee does not attend each meeting, the Stakeholder Group the person represents will be asked to designate a replacement member. The public is welcome to attend meetings of the Advisory Committee and the four Stakeholder Groups. Those meeting dates, times and places will be advertised on the project web site and by mailed invitation.
